No Bluegrass Christmas in the Smokies festival would be complete without the strong presence of soul-stirring gospel music. When deciding which of many excellent possible groups that might be, The King James Boys routinely topped the list of candidates.  Founded in 1994, The King James Boys started solely as a group that only sang at their church with no intentions of traveling.

A few years later, after much encouragement and prayer, The King James Boys were led to pursue ministering and singing abroad. Good news travels fast, and soon the group’s blend of southern gospel harmonies with modern bluegrass sounds made them one of the most sought-after gospel groups in bluegrass music.  Now, years later, The King James Boys are still doing what they started out doing… sharing the gospel with others through music! Our festival ambassador, and IBMA Hall of Fame member, the legendary Paul Williams put it this way… "the King James Boys are the real thing, sincere, dedicated, and committed to praising God through song and testimony. So, get ready for it, INSPIRATION is on its way from the first song until the last..." We are beyond happy that they are here to share their musical testimony with all of us at this year’s Bluegrass Christmas in the Smokies.
