Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road have combined masterful musicianship and a creative sound to entertain audiences in 48 states and 13 countries while scoring multiple hits, industry accolades, and collaborations with other legendary artists.
Since their beginnings in 1998, the band has achieved four No. 1 songs on the Bluegrass chart with “A Light in the Window,” “That’s Kentucky”, “True Grass”, and “Bill Monroe’s Ol’ Mandolin.” “True Grass” and “Bill Monroe’s Ol’ Mandolin” also climbed to No. 1 on the Roots Music chart and topped the Bluegrass Unlimited National Bluegrass Survey.
When the band isn’t touring, they host several events weekly at Lorraine’s Coffee, Café and Music in Garner, N.C. Lorraine and the band are a crowd favorite at the IBMA sanctioned “Wide Open Bluegrass Festival.” The group also produces and performs at Christmas in the Smokies in Tennessee and the Willow Oak Music Festival in Roxboro, N.C.
The band has another long-awaited musical project due out in 2022. This project pairs Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road with multi-Grammy nominee Michael Martin Murphy (“Carolina in the Pines”). They have a Patriotic Grass project and a long-awaited gospel project new on the table this year.
In addition to Lorraine Jordan, the journeyman musicians of Carolina Road include Ben Greene, Randy Graham, Allen Dyer, Kevin Lamm, and Matthew Hooper.
