Virginia native, Larry Stephenson, is widely recognized as possessing one of the purest high lead and tenor voices in bluegrass music. Larry’s career has been marked with undeniable growth since his father first placed a mandolin in his hand at the age of five.
On his musical journey to Larry’s rightful position among today’s elite band-leading artists, Larry served lengthy stints with some of bluegrass music’s very best including Cliff Waldron, Leon Morris, Bill Harrell, and the Bluegrass Cardinals. Now, with over 40 years of professional experience and a truckload of well-deserved trade nominations, accolades, and awards, Larry’s passion for musical excellence has never been greater. Expect top-shelf musicianship and tight vocals arrangements. We can promise that’s exactly what you’re going to hear from the Larry Stephenson Band.
